Delsys Advances Biomechanics Community at Inaugural Qualisys User Group Meeting in India

DELHI NCR, INDIA – Delsys was proud to partner with Qualisys for their first-ever User Group Meeting (UGM) in India, a landmark event held from September 20-21, 2025, that brought together the nation’s leading minds in human movement science. Reinforcing our commitment to the Indian research community, this collaboration provided a vital platform for education, innovation, and direct scientific support.

The Delsys India team was on-site to lead discussions on the critical role of surface EMG in enriching motion capture data. The presentation focused on practical applications, demonstrating how the integration of high-quality EMG provides deeper, more comprehensive insights for both clinical and research settings. This engagement highlighted the value of our local presence, which ensures that researchers across India have direct and accessible support for their work.

A key feature of the meeting was the hands-on, collaborative environment. During a visit to the Qualisys motion capture studio, our team had the invaluable opportunity to engage directly with users about the day-to-day challenges they face. This open forum, which included other industry manufacturers, allowed for real-time problem-solving and generated crucial feedback that will help shape the future of biomechanics technology.

We were honoured to connect with esteemed Delsys users, including Dr. Atul Bhaskar of Xavier’s Gait Lab Mumbai, Dr. Rajinikumar Palaniyappan of TNPESU, Dr. Edward Jero of VIT Chennai, Dr Varshini of SRM Engineering College Chennai, and the team from Nair Hospital, Mumbai, among others. Witnessing their cutting-edge research, which leverages both integrated and standalone EMG, was a powerful reminder of the incredible work being done in the region.

Delsys congratulates the Qualisys India team on a successful and impactful event. We are proud to support the growth of this vibrant scientific community and look forward to continuing our partnership in advancing the field of human movement science in India.
