Calculations > EMG Threshold

Parameters

RMS Input

If selected, the RMS of the input will be performed, the result of which will be used for the remainder of the thresholding calculation.

RMS Windowing Units

Specifies the units in which the length and overlap are specified: points or samples.

RMS Window Length

Specifies the length of a single window of data processed to produce one point in the RMS series.

RMS Window Overlap

The overlap of subsequent windows.

Baseline Level

This value is multiplied by the estimated baseline of the signal to produce the threshold level.

Window Length (sec)

The duration of a window over which the baseline is measured.  This value should be smaller than the shortest quiescent period in the data series.

Number of Windows

The number of windows in which to search for the baseline.  A greater number of windows will result in a more accurate representation of the baseline.

Suppress Spikes and Gaps

If selected, short on or off periods are removed from the output.

Suppression Time (sec)

The minimum duration of an active or inactive interval when spikes and gaps are suppressed.
