Computer Vision Engineer

We are seeking highly motivated candidates to contribute to the research and development of next-generation, human-centric computer vision technology. At Delsys, Computer Vision Engineers are involved in a wide range of projects that aim to advance the understanding of human biomechanics by developing autonomous computer vision algorithms for tracking whole-body movement and their integration with augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR) software solutions. The position requires a broad set of analytical and technical skills in the fields of signal processing, image processing, algorithm development, performance verification, and error analysis. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work closely with a strong team of developers, R&D engineers, scientists, and clinical collaborators at Delsys to gain extensive experience translating cutting-edge research solutions to the marketplace across areas of Computer Vision, AR/VR, Machine Learning (ML), and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design and implement signal-, image-, and depth-processing methods to analyze information from physiological signals acquired during various human movements
  • Process 3D point cloud data for denoising, filtering, and segmenting regions of interest
  • Detect, identify, track, and analyze features corresponding to different aspects of human movement
  • Develop and evaluate signal processing and computer vision algorithms for pattern recognition and classification for characterizing biomechanics and control of human movement
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and clinicians to design technology for evaluating human movement such as exercise, gait, and activities of daily living

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate should:

  • Be currently enrolled in or have completed an undergraduate, or graduate degree in robotics, computer engineering, computer science, or a similar degree program
  • Be fluent in Python programming language. C++ is a bonus.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with fundamentals of signal processing, decision theory, computer vision and ML-/AI-based algorithms
  • Have experience with image processing, camera calibration, and 3D point cloud data
  • Demonstrate proficiency in problem solving, critical thinking, and adapting in a multidisciplinary work environment
